I was curious if the Hopkins 47284 Reliance Digital Electronic Brake Controller will work on a 2018 Dodge Ram 1500?

Brake controllers aren't vehicle specific so that's certainly not an issue. To install the Hopkins Reliance in your 2018 Ram 1500 use the plug in adapter # HM53056. The adapter plugs right in to the connector under your truck's dash near the driver's right knee. The other end of the adapter does not match the connector on your Reliance so you need to cut that end off as well as the connection on the Reliance and then connect the wires.
To make the connections use butt connectors, parts # DW05744-5 and # DW05745-5. I've linked a video that shows the Hopkins Agility, part # HM47294, being installed in a 2017 Ram. The controller is very similar and the adapter and process is exactly the same as with the Reliance.
