Question:
I have ordered the above part but now want to know if the 7 foot length will be long enough for my 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup with an 8 foot bed. The front connection for this is just in front of the wheel well and then would go back to the factory OEM connection? Thanks for a prompt response.

The 7 foot long Curt fifth wheel wiring harness your purhcased, part # C56071, should fit just fine in your truck even with the 8 foot bed. However, you probably will only be able to reach the rear part of the bed behind the wheel wells.
There is the 10 foot version, part # C56001, which will likely increase your options as to where in the bed you can install it due to the added length.
