Replacement Bearing Kit for a 3,500 Lb Axle with L68176 and L44649 Bearings

Question:

Can you help me identify the proper replacement parts for my travel trailers wheel bearings, races, and grease seals? I removed a hub and could read some reference numbers but not all. So I measured some things and this is what I know: Inner bearing reference number: L88149, China, XCZ. Grease seal: GS17190L, 201437. Manual caliper measurement for ID of Outer bearing is 1.065. Surface of spindle where Outer bearing rides measures 1.060, and surface of spindle where Inner bearing rides measures 1.375. These are tapered roller bearings. I would like top quality parts like Timken or comparable. Not sure what brands you carry. Can you help me? Thank you.

Thanks for the legwork. Based on these measurements, it sounds like you have a standard 3,500 lb axle which uses a L68176 (1.378" ID) inner bearing and a L44649 (1.063" ID) outer bearing. I was not able to reference the part number "GS17190L or 201437" that you provided for the grease seal but if you take your digital caliper and measure both the inner/outer diameter, it should be 1.719" and 2.565" respectively.

In order to replace these components I recommend using the Bearing Kit for #84 Spindle part # BK2-100 which are manufactured by TruRyde. If you have not heard of this company before you can take a look at some of the reviews for this product to give you a better idea of how it performs.
