There isn't a specific 5th Wheel Tailgate so we do not have a specific backup camera that fits each model. My recommendation is the Stromberg Carlson 4000 Series 5th Wheel Louvered Tailgate with Lock # VGM-14-4000 for your 2017 Chevy 2500. Then I recommend the the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System - Mirror with Monitor - Flush Mount Backup Camera # RVS-772718 which will allow you to mount the camera wherever you want.
If you determine you'd rather have a license plate mount, you can use the Hopkins Rear View Camera with Backup Sensors - 2-1/2" LCD # HM60195VA. This is a hardwired connection to your monitor so you won't have a dropped or weak signal.
