How do you route the strap on the non locking end?

If you are installing the Replacement Strap Assembly # 7521092003 on the Thule SUP Taxi Stand-Up Paddleboard Carrier # TH810001 what you'll need to do is turn the roller on the non-locking end, insert the part of the strap that has the small cover on it and simply pull it through.

I have a 810xt and the spring Lock mechanism does not open all the way and therefore I need to pry open the spring loaded lock with a crew driver to open to the strap has enough width to feed through. Other one works fine. It’s brand new so wondering if lubing with tri flow will work or just return it.

If the spring lock mechanism is damaged and the SUP Taxi # TH810001 is brand new I'd honestly reach out to Thule to get a replacement under warranty. If you purchased the item from us just let us know.
