Question:

1. Does it work on an ARE CX series? 2. Does it have its own controller or do I wire it into my auto lock on the tailgate? 3, If it does have its own controller can it be wired into the auto lock on the tailgate?

As long as your A.R.E. CX series truck cap has a single handle and not the two "T" handles then the Pop & Lock Power Lock Conversion Kit # PAL9772 will work. If you do have the "T" handles you will want to go with the Kit # PAL9555 instead which includes the locking handle. We have confirmed this with Pop and Lock.

Both options install by hardwiring into the power lock functions on your vehicle so they will act just like the lock on your tailgate.
