Question:
Hi I want to go electric valve with my vehicle waste tanks. Currently the ferncoinch type rubber pieces that attach the y valves to the tanks are cracked and leaking, so I figure I would replace the entire thing being 15 years old. Going thru your catalog I am looking at this part: Valterra EZ Valve Double Electric Waste Valves - Rotating - 2 3inch Hubs to 3inch Lug Fitting... This terminology is greek to me... rotating hubs to lug fitting... so before I buy it I will ask the question and request your assistance please. My winnebago connects the y to the tanks with two ferncoinch type couplings. this part shows ABS cement as an add on... I need one that will attach same size same way as the OEM part. I want to do this one time as seamlessly as possible LOL! Working with waste tanks isnt my idea of enjoyment. Is there a better way to do this? like taking the valves apart, replacing the rubber pieces and installing new electric valves ?

The term, "rotating hubs to lug fitting" means that this product has hubs that slide over your current 3 inch pipes. Once the pipes are inside the hub it is cemented in place with part # A05-0303. This process is different than the fitting on your older valves so you won't need the fernco connectors to connect the fittings and to keep them in place. As long as your existing pipes are 3" the EZ Valve part # E84-8 will fit over your pipes. Then you connect your sewer hose to the lug fitting on the EZ valve.
On this product the switch plate, wiring, seals, and hardware needed to install these electric waste valves on your RV's black water tank and gray water tank are included. The ABS solvent cement # A05-0303 you mentioned is used to secure the waste valves to the existing pipes is a similar fashion that OEM part did.
