For your 2008 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, I recommend checking the towing capacity in your owner's manual. For a 1-1/4 inch ball mount, I recommend the Curt # C45521. This will also require a hitch pin and clip like # F-4 and a hitch ball. For a 2 inch ball, I recommend # A-82 or for a 1-7/8 inch diameter ball # A-80.
