Where are etrailer Electric Brake Assemblies Made and How do they Compare to Dexter Brakes

Question:

Hi, I see that the Dexter assembly is made in the USA. When compared with the AKEBRK-35-SA the origin of the AKEBRK is not mentioned or provided. Is the AKEBRK assembly also made in the USA?

Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA is made overseas but has a very important advantage over the Dexter option. Basically the difference is in the shoes. The pad material on AKEBRK-35-SA is actually cut to length whereas on other assemblies the material is snapped off. Snapping it off leads to more chipped edges and cracks in the pad material.
