Will Lippert Center Point Air-Ride Suspension Upgrade Handle Near Constant Heavy Loads
Updated 03/28/2018 | Published 03/26/2018 >
Question:
I run a hotshot rig. Often the weight is less than 10k in cargo on a 36ft trailer. Air ride is rather expensive but I seen these products and some house trailers are rather heavy. Would this system be able to handle running cargo? Noting that the system wouldn’t be under the weight of the house trailer constantly sense the trailer is unloaded some too.

It sounds like you are wondering if the Lippert Center Point by Trailair Air-Ride Suspension Upgrade # LC1565391 is built to handle a near constant load on your trailer. This particular type of system is actually commonly used on semi tractors, which will certainly see somewhat constant and long term heavy loads like what it seems like you are wanting to do. This air ride suspension is definitely up to this task and it will also dramatically improve the ride and towing experience with the two air bags installed. They will do a great job of absorbing road shock and reducing chucking while you drive down the road. An added benefit to the system is that it will also actually raise the trailer by 2 inches, giving you a little more ground clearance to work with.
The system does include a 90 day warranty. Keep in mind that the trailer must have double-eye springs for this system to work and it is for a tandem axle configuration.
