Is Synthetic or Wire Rope Better for a Winch on a 2014 Polaris 570 Sportsman ATV

torn between synthetic vs steel cable.... on your end do you see less customer issues with one over the other? what size winch would you suggest for 14 570 sportsman? plus my big tail... lol.... ability to free spool out, handlebar and wired remote is important... is there a kit that includes your suggested winch, mounting plate and possibly snag block? thank you in advance...

Whether a synthetic rope or a wire rope is better just depends on your application. A synthetic rope is better if the rope will be contacting with anything you're worried about damaging because a wire rope is more likely to damage something. However, in the long run a wire rope will hold up and last longer, generally speaking.
For you I recommend going with a Superwinch Terra rated for 2,500 pounds. This should be plenty of capacity. With a synthetic rope use part # SW1125230 and for a wire rope use part # SW1125220.
For either winch the Bulldog mounting plate, part # BDW15151 will work on your 2014 Polaris 570 Sportsman.
