Helpful Expert Reply:
The 4.80-12 tire has a section width of 4.80" and an outer diameter (when inflated) of 20.5". The 5.30-12 tire has a 5.3 inch section width and outer diameter of 21.5 inches, so it will change both the height and width of the tire. If you have the space, the upgraded size will gain you some weight capacity.
If you want to keep the 4.80-12 size, I recommend the Kenda 4.80-12 Bias Trailer Tire with 12" White Wheel - 4 on 4 - Load Range C # AM30620. This combo is rated for 990 lbs at 90 psi and speeds up to 65 mph. This combination comes with a 1 year warranty on the wheel and a 5-year warranty on the tire.
If you move to the 5.30-12 size, I recommend the Kenda 5.30-12 Bias Trailer Tire with 12" Galvanized Wheel - 4 on 4 - Load Range C, Item # AM30790. This combo is rated for 1,045 lbs at 80 psi and speeds up to 65 mph. This option has a 2 year warranty on the wheel and a 5-year warranty on the tire.
I've attached a couple articles to assist. Let me know if you have further questions.
