There is a way to carry bikes with your 2012 Fiat 500 convertible. What you can do is install a trailer hitch # C11363 (does not fit Abarth models) or for an Abarth model use # C11347.
Then you can use a Class I compatible bike rack such as the NEO2 # B01748. This rack holds the bikes at the wheels so it is compatible with many bike styles. And it weighs just 15 pounds so it is easy to handle. I have linked a video review of this rack for you.
