Disc Brake Surge Coupler for a Tow Dolly
Updated 02/27/2018 | Published 02/24/2018 >
Question:
I am looking for a surge brake coupler that works with disc brakes. I am making my own car dolly and am using a mini van axle with disc brakes from the same van. The reverse lockout feature would be nice also. The car I will b towing will weigh no more than 3200 pounds and I am pulling it with my 2015 jeep wrangle 2 door

Your best pick is the Titan Zinc-Plated Actuator, part # T4745720, which includes an electric backup lockout and compatibility with disc brakes. This kit will bolt onto your tow dolly and is rated for up to 6000 pounds.
I did check into your owner's manual and it looks like the 2015 Jeep Wrangler two door variants are only rated to tow 2000 pounds, and I'd recommend using another tow vehicle if possible.
