Question:
i have a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Touring L without the tow package. I want to get a brake controller to tow a Forest River R Pod 180 travel trailer. Working with your customer support team which is great it was suggested I get the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector - 118712, the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires - ETBC7, the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - TK93VR, and the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional - TK90160. The questions I have are: -Is there a connecter under the dash in a 2017 Pacifica Touring L without a tow package to plug the adapter into? -If not, is there a another way to install a electronic brake control? Different parts if needed. The support person and I couldnt find the answer to this so I figured I would ask the experts. Thanks

Not all vehicles come with brake controller wiring under the dash. That said your 2017 Chrysler Pacifica SHOULD have a 7-way trailer wiring harness at the rear of it and should have brake controller wiring under the dash. If there is the rear 7-way all you need is the # TK93VR and the Brake Controller IQ part # TK90160.
If you have no wiring you'll need to go the hardwire option you also mentioned. The 4-way part # 118712, the adapter and install kit # ETBC7, and then finally the brake controller # TK90160.
