Recommended Bike Rack With a Ramp for E-Bike
Published 02/21/2018 >
Question:
My husband passed away in January. We always loaded our bikes as a team. I am not able to load my bike by myself. I have a 2-bike Thule rack, but I need a 1-bike rack that has a lift or ramp that will assist me in getting my heavy Giant brand electric bike loaded. Any suggestions? There are two batteries that are under the saddle bag. I remove the batteries before I load the bike, but it is still too heavy for one person to load on our rack. Thanks.

I am very sorry to hear about your recent loss.
There is a solution for you, the Thule EasyFold XT 2 # TH903202 which is the only bike rack we offer that has a ramp. It is a 2-bike carrier that has a weight capacity of 65 lbs per bike and works with bikes that have a maximum wheelbase of 48" so you would need to make sure your Giant e-bike does not exceed those specs. It is easy to use with hands knobs that tighten the clamps which keep your bike in place as well as a hand knob which secures the rack to your hitch.
I have added a link to a video review of this bike rack for you which I hope is useful.
