Question:
I have 2 axles that are 2 3/4 in in diameter. They came from an old 24 ft travel trailer. Wheels are old style with 4 bolt and no center in rim. What capacity each are they? Thanks

To know for sure you would need to contact the axle manufacturer. They are not a standard size, but I can give you a ball park figure. Axles that are 2-3/8 inches in diameter are normally 3500 lbs capacity and at times up to 4400 lbs. A 3 inch diameter axle is normally 5200 to 7000 lbs. I would guess your axles are 3500 lbs capacity maximum based on the 4 bolt pattern as well. Most of our 4 bolt pattern wheels and tires will have a maximum capacity of 2720 lbs per axle based on # AM3S120. You will be limited by the weakest component in your system, so if you let me know the tires size on your axles I can be more precise in helping you with your capacity.
