How do you seal the front corners to keep out water on 2018 Honda Ridgeline

The front (cab side) of the BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK48602 for your 2018 Honda Ridgeline has a seal that, when the cover is properly installed, will keep out water.
You could add additional material such as # PARTS-326A0004 but doing so may not allow the cover to close at the front properly.
