Installing Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch on 2012 Toyota RAV4

Question:

I am looking at part e98864 for a 2012 RAV 4. The installation details state that some trimming is required. Can you tell me if trimming would be necessary for my 2012 model.

The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98864 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2012 Toyota RAV4 and is the exact hitch I would have recommended. When installing the hitch to your vehicle, you may just need to remove the plastic appearance panel (if present) that is located on the driver side, but you will not have to trim any of the bumper fascia for the hitch to fit perfectly. This is a fairly simple, no-drill installation that has an estimated install time of just around 30-50 minutes. All of the necessary hardware will be included.
