You may have already done this but make sure to check your owner's manual for procedures and restrictions for flat-towing your 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We have base plates by Roadmaster, Item # 1419-5, that will fit your 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee that come with removable arms. We do not carry Draw-Tite tow bars but we do have an adapter from Roadmaster, item # RM-025, that works with them so that everything will hook up.

Besides the base plates and tow bar, you will also need safety cables, wiring, and a braking system, if you do not already have them.

For safety cables, I recommend the Roadmaster Single Hook Safety Cables, Item # RM-643. These are heavy-duty cables with steel hooks, spring-loaded latches for added security, and vinyl coating.

For wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit, Item # RM-15267. To have separate brake and turn signal functioning for your Jeep that also work with RV signals, you will need a wiring converter, Item # 118158, and 2 additional diodes, Item # RM-792.

For a braking system, I recommend the Stay-In-Play Braking System, Item # SM99251, which is a great proportional braking system that has a convenient one time set-up.

Finally, a high-low hitch adapter may also be needed to keep your tow bar level while flat towing the Jeep. A "safe zone" of 3 inches above or 3 inches below level must be maintained while towing a vehicle. High-low adapters provide necessary rise or drop to get into the "safe zone". I have attached a link to our available selections.

I have attached additional information and videos for you to checkout to help you with your towing project.
