Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2016 Toyota RAV4

Question:

I watched the video for this install on a 2015 Rav4, but the 2016 has a module, or something like that must be associated with the hatch door latch, right in the center, that has a metal protection cover. How will the hitch work with that module?

The etrailer Class III Hitch Receiver Hitch # e98864 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2016 Toyota RAV4. For the 2016 (to current) model years of the RAV4, there is actually a unique series of installation steps that deal specifically with the center module and fascia area that you referenced. For these models, a portion of the fascia will need to be removed in order for the trailer hitch to mount correctly. However, the operation of the sensor could be hindered or even stopped all together with an installed hitch.
