Question:
Looking to buy either a Curt or Draw Tite hitch for my 2016 Nissan Rogue. I am looking to coat the hitch with POR 15 or other type of undercoat to help rust formation due to aall of the winter road salt and pre-treat solution used on roads around my way. Any recommendations?

All of the hitches we offer, those for your 2016 Nissan Rogue and other vehicles too, feature a baked-on finish. All options for your 2016 Nissan Rogue appear on the linked page.
This external finish is sometimes applied over an additional anti-corrosive coating. Curt's USA-made hitches like 2-inch Class III model # C13204 and 1-1/4-inch Class II model # C12122 for instance have a baked-on dipped finish that is applied over an anti-corrosive liquid Bonderite base coat. Install videos for both hitches are linked for you.
The way to maintain your new hitch is to periodically rinse off any road salt. If a bit of road debris should chip of some of the baked-on finish then simply touch it up with an anti-corrosive spray paint.
POR-15 is a good product but it is neither needed nor appropriate for a hitch since the factory finish would have to be removed in order for the POR-15 to adhere properly.
