Question:

Currently my truck sits too high with no suspension modifications and my trailer needs to be lifted at least 4 inches to sit close to level I dont have adjustable hangers to where I would be able to adjust to a lower mount hole as Ive seen on other trailers. Any suggestions

If the leaf springs on your trailer currently sit below the axle, I recommend looking into the Dexter Over-Under Conversion Kit for 3 inch axles # K71-385-00 or # K71-384-00 for 2-3/8 inch axles. This kit will allow you to move the leaf springs to the top of the axle, lifting your trailer by the height of the axle and spring stack. Just note that these are for use with double-eye springs only. I have attached the written installation instructions so you can get a better idea as to how it works.

Otherwise, if you happen to have Torflex axles on your trailer, we have several lift kits available designed for certain models. For example, the Dexter Torflex Lift Kit # K71-725-02 is designed for #12 Torflex axles with 5,500-7,000 pound capacities and will lift the trailer by 3-1/8 inches. Finally, if the leaf springs on the trailer are already above the axles, and you do not have Torflex axles, your best option will be to simply have the existing hangers cut off and replace them with taller ones.
