Current Available to RV When Using Power Grip RV Power Cord Adapter CAM55185
Published 01/25/2018 >
Question:
does this reduce the power available to my RV 50-amp set-up?
asked by: Marc
Expert Reply:
The Power Grip RV Power Cord Adapter # CAM55185 allows connection of an RV with 50-amp service to a campground with 30-amp power service. Both types operate at 125V like standard household AC power but the amount of current available is different.
This means your RV's devices will work the same but the total current of 30-amps means you may not be able to operate all devices on the trailer at the same time. You can use RV functions with a total current draw up to the 30-amps that are available at the RV park power outlet.
