How to Prevent the Hitch from Scraping on a 2014 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

Question:

I can not drive the van ony any driveway or store entrance parking lot. The hitch hits the road. Kind of bad. The design its not great.

I do have an option for you but due to the way the vehicle is setup, all of the trailer hitches they make for it will hang down rather low. The other option I have for you to prevent it from scraping the pavement would be to use a skid wheel like the Roadmaster Rollaway Trailer Hitch Protector part # RM-050. The skid wheel attaches to the hitch via the hitch pin hole and will prevent the receiver tube opening from scraping the pavement on inclines.
