Question:

I have a question regarding this product - Item # IMF18740 It says the maximum length is 3, but can you please tell me what is the shortest length it will go? I only need about 10inch or so and am not sure this will work for me. If this product wont work do you have a similar item that will? Thank you!

I do have a solution for you, however if you are only needing about 10 inches, the BoatBuckle Pro Series Ratcheting Transom Tie-Down Straps # IMF18740 will not be your best option.

I spoke with my contact at BoatBuckle and he stated that for your application, a much better option will be the BoatBuckle Pro Series Kwik-Lok Tie-Down Straps # IMF17631. This system features a set of transom straps that measure 2 inches wide and up to 2 feet long, but will do a nice job of ratcheting down to the 10 inch length that you are needing. They have a safe working load limit of 400 pounds and a maximum load strength of 1,200 pounds.
