These Pro Series ratchet tie-downs are a simple, effective way to secure your boat's stern to your trailer. Sturdy straps ratchet to tighten, and padded buckles and vinyl-coated hooks protect the boat's paint finish. 1,200 lbs Max load.

Features:

  • Heavy-duty tie-down straps firmly secure your boat's transom (stern) to your trailer
  • Seat-belt-quality polyester strap ratchets to tighten
  • Protective pads under the ratchets and vinyl-coated steel top S-hooks protect your boat's paint finish
  • Zinc-coated steel bottom hooks attach to trailer and resist corrosion

Specs:

  • Strap dimensions: 1" wide x 3' long
  • Maximum load strength (break strength): 1,200 lbs
  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 400 lbs
  • Quantity: 2 transom straps
  • 1-Year limited warranty

Load your boat onto your trailer. Connect the bottom, zinc-coated steel S-hooks of the Pro Series straps to the back end of your trailer's frame. Connect the vinyl-coated top S-hooks to the loops on the stern of the boat. Ratchet to tighten the strap. A built-in pad underneath the ratchet helps to prevent it from scratching the boat.

Note: Transom tie-downs should always be used along with a winch strap and a set of gunwale tie-downs. All straps and cables should be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). To determine the maximum load, or break strength, of the strap, simply multiply the WLL by 3. The WLL is always one-third (1/3) of the maximum load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Very good quality. Product is as described. Easy to use.

by:

Exactly what I was looking for...Not able to find locally at a number of retail outlets.

by:

High quality and it does have the rubber pad under the ratchet to protect the boat finish. Works as advertised!

by:

Wanted ratchet straps, trying these out first before the bolted type. Time will tell how they work out.

by:

Very nice transom Rachet straps. Like the rubber on the back to help protect the boat. Will be using them on a jet boat, the length was the perfect size.

by:

Great strap, everything it was said to be! Ordered product, shipped out same day, received in two days to my surprise! Shipping information provided immediately, as well as tracking, and advising it had been delivered. Very pleased!

by:

Received my order faster than expected. I won't be using these until July but they are made of very good quality. Thanks!

by:

after having the flip and lock kind for 10 years ( that by the way always managed to come loose on the way to the lake) I put these on my boat and trailer when I picked it up from having a new cover made for it and brought it home and when I got home they were just as tight as when I put them on.....no more worrying about them coming loose or falling in the road....great product

They are working great and still look brand new and have not had any time when they came loose

by:

Straps work great and have held up well over the last year

by:

So far so good. Struggled to find straps with the correct strength that weren't either too long or too short. wasn't sure about the ratchets since i've only ever used the tension level type.

after lots of searching i found these, right length, right strength. took a chance. i actually REALLY like the ratchets. the work quite well and make the connection more snug and maybe even (in my mind at least) more trustworthy.

i've only moved the boat with them attached twice (to the lake and back) since buying, but I was satisfied and confident.

Another year later and these things are still holding strong, I wish more products were made like this!

by:

eTrailer is great to deal with. Now onto the BoatBuckle Pro Series ratchet tie downs. This is my second pair. IN each pair the tie down ratchet systems flexes/bends and the ratchet doesn't engage/lock correctly. I will be looking for something better in the near future

by:

Awesome product!!! The flip over hinge straps that came with my boat always loosened up while trailoring. These are rock solid and great quality!!

They are still as perfect as the day I bought them!

by:

Shipping was fast and arrived before estimated delivery date. The straps are easy to use and they work perfect for my pontoon/bunk trailer setup for securing the rear down tight. The rubber padded ratchets lay flat on the back of the pontoons with no worrys about scratching up the aluminum. The rubber pads are a little softer then expected so I would avoid excessive tightening of the ratchet for longer life of the pads. You can still make it plenty tight but with ratchets its so easy to do one or two more unnessasary clicks tighter.

by:

Quality made ratcheting tie down straps, easier to use than my older straps.

by:

I use these to strap down a mobility scooter. Works perfectly!! Easy on and off and very secure. Love them!

Still working great a year later. Absolutely no issues.

by:

I brought the straps to tie down my boat which they did a good job of but the metal is very cheap and after serval uses they completely buckled. For what i paid for them i have no complaints and the manufactures replaced them without questions. If you want for occasional use i am sure they would be fine.

by:

These are an excellant replacement for the tie downs straps that were on the trailer when I purchased it.

by:

I have a 16’ Santee skiff. Was looking for straps that were not too big and that would also protect the hull from damage. These straps are perfect. etrailers shipping is really fast. Ordered several trailering products from them and continue to be impressed.

by:

Ordered these to replace stock pull and latch/clip style tie downs. I like the ratcheting style better. I can ratchet them tighter and they release easily.

by:

I received my tie downs today and they work great! I am extremely happy with the product and recommend them to everyone with a boat or jet ski. Ordering them was very easy and delivery was quick.

Thanks for all your help!

by:

by:

  • Will BoatBuckle Protective Boat Pads Work With Erickson 2" Ratchet Straps
Hi Mike; you can use the BoatBuckle Protective Boat Pads # IMF13180 with your Erickson Ratchet straps as long as it is large enough. I don't know the exact Erickson straps you have but the pads measure 3" wide x 7" tall x 1/8" thick. As long as it can sit on the pad with those dimensions it will work. Using the pad will be just like having the BoatBuckle Pro Series Ratcheting Transom Tie-Down Straps # IMF18740 which come with the pad sitting right under the ratchet mechanism. If you...

  • What Is The Max Weight The CE Smith Multi Sport Boat and Kayak Trailer Can Carry?
The maximum payload capacity of the CE Smith Multi Sport Plus Boat and Kayak Trailer # CE48870 you were looking at is 800lbs, so as long as your SeaDoo GTI SE 170 when at its heaviest is under 800lbs you will be just fine. The trailer it self weighs in right at 450lbs. The trailer fits boats that are up to 14' long, and has a winch already installed for securing your SeaDoo GTI. One addition you will still need is transom tie downs # IMF18740 if you do not already have some. I included...

  • Recommended Small Trailer For 15 Foot Aluminum Boat With 25HP Outboard
The best trailer for you will depend on how much your boat weighs. If it's a jon boat, 150 to 250 lbs is pretty typical. A 25 HP Honda outboard will weigh around 225-250 lbs. The CE Smith # CE48870 Multi-Sport Plus boat/kayak trailer has an 800 lb capacity and can handle boats up to 14 feet in length, so if your boat/motor combo come in under the 800 lb capacity, the # CE48870 trailer would be ideal for you. The trailer comes complete with a winch, the only other thing you might need is...

  • Replacement Protective Pads for Boat Buckle Pro Series Ratcheting Transom Tie-Down Straps
To replace the yellow pads on your Boat Buckle Pro Series Ratcheting Transom Tie-Down Straps # IMF18740 referenced in your question, all you need is the Protective Boat Pads # IMF13274. These pads will replace your broken unit so that you can continue to protect your boat from scratches and scuffs. I have attached a couple short video demonstrations on these products that you can also check out.

  • Recommended CE Smith Trailer for Brooklyn 14.0 Pro Tandem Pedal Kayak PK14
Hello Carol, I also love to fish, so I don't blame you for wanting to get off the banks. The CE Smith Multi Sport Plus Boat and Kayak Trailer w/ Bunks - 12" Wheels - 14' Boat - 800 lbs # CE48870 will work great for the Brooklyn 14.0 Pro Tandem Pedal Kayak PK14. I went to their webiste and checked out all the specs. This trailer can handle Kayaks up to 14 feet long, so that puts you at the limit for the length. The width is 54" so that gives you plenty of wiggle room. To be able to hook...

  • Recommended Boat Tie-Down Straps for 2,200 Pound Boat on 600 Pound Trailer
Going with tie-downs that have around a 1,000 pound break strength like the BoatBuckle Pro Series Ratcheting Transom Tie-Down Straps # IMF18740 will work great with your boat and trailer. Typically when choosing boat tie-down straps, you will want a strap with a break strength capacity that exceeds the weight of your trailer (or the lightest object). Since your trailer is between 400-600 pounds, these straps will be perfect. The strap dimensions are 1 inch wide and 3 inches long. The...

  • Hitch-Mount Ramped Carrier for Generator
The TorkLift Lock and Load Security Cargo Tray # TLA7752 at 27-3/4 x 24-inches is the largest such model they offer. But we do have hitch-mount cargo carriers with the same 500-lb weight capacity to which you can add locks to secure the generator. Since your Champion DUAL-FUEL 2800wt has wheels you might like a ramped carrier like # FHG69ZR from Flint Hill Goods to make loading easier. You can use anti-rattle hitch lock # 63232 to lock the carrier to the hitch and a cable lock like # 8122D...

  • Can BoatBuckle Pro Series Ratcheting Straps # IMF18740 be Adjusted to 10 Inches
I do have a solution for you, however if you are only needing about 10 inches, the BoatBuckle Pro Series Ratcheting Transom Tie-Down Straps # IMF18740 will not be your best option. I spoke with my contact at BoatBuckle and he stated that for your application, a much better option will be the BoatBuckle Pro Series Kwik-Lok Tie-Down Straps # IMF17631. This system features a set of transom straps that measure 2 inches wide and up to 2 feet long, but will do a nice job of ratcheting down...
