Question:
2007 Honda Ridgeline I have an oem bike rack and am not sure it will fit, clearing the front bumper when mounted. It looks like the front of the receiver will be to far back behind the bumper and will need an extender.

If you use a hitch extender like the Brophy Hitch Extender, part # HE06 on your front trailer hitch it will extend the length by 7 inches, but it will reduce the hitches overall weight capacity by 50 per cent. That means the tongue weight capacity on the Curt 2 Inch Front Hitch, part # 33328 will be reduced from 350 lbs to 175 lbs. I am including a link to a FAQ page on hitch extenders.
If the weight of your OEM bike rack, the weight of the bikes, and the weight of the extender (10 lbs.) does not exceed 175 lbs you will be fine.
If the combined weight does exceed the 175-lb limit, you will need to look for a different bike rack that would have a longer length from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the bike rack. A longer length would allow you to clear the front bumper on your 2007 Honda Ridgeline.
If you need to change to a different bike rack let me know and I can help you choose the correct bike rack that will have enough clearance.
