Question:
I have a new F350 that has the factory hitch with 2 1/2” opening. I am in need of a 16 to 18” extension to clear my slide in camper overhang. I currently have a Curt 18” extension from my old setup but that is for a 2” receiver and when using that with the reducer there is a lot of slop. I flat tow with this and want everything as tight as I can get it. All I can fin is the Brophy 7” reducer or the 24” extensions...I was thinking I could buy a 24” combo bar and cut down to 18” but from other answers I have read it looks like this isn the case. Any suggestions? Thank you

For your 2-1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver and your 2 inch hitch extender, I recommend the Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer III for 2-1/2" Hitch with 2" Adapter # BX88312. This will allow you to use your current adapter with the sleeve, but will take the slop out of the combination.
This is the best option for your specific application because you would need to go to the 24 inch extension # C45048 that you don't like the length of as your next best option.
