Question:
Hi - I have an 2010 Infiniti FX - which does not come with a hitch. Im looking at the Thule Passage 2 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount Item # TH910XT Can I still open the back hatch with the rack installed? How secure is it - from theft?

Expert Reply:
The Thule Passage 2, part # TH910XT is a compatible fit with the 2010 Infiniti FX35.
While the Passage is installed, it's not recommended to open the rear hatch as this can cause the straps to loosen or shift, and create an unsafe situation.
Initially, the Passage doesn't have any security features equipped on it. You can add a security strap for the rack with part # TH533 and a cable lock like part # e98891 for security.
Since you have alternative frame bikes, you'll need a frame adapter bar like part # 64005 to help them ride level and stable on the rack, and avoid damaging the other bike or vehicle, plus it makes loading these style of bikes easier.
I've included a video review of these racks so you can compare their features and performance for yourself.
