Question:
Do I have to remove anything on front end to attach tow plates

The fascia or front bumper will need to be removed in order to install either the Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit part # 521431-1 or the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit part # BX1976 on your 2011 Dodge Nitro. Once the base plate kit is installed the bumper can then be reattached to the vehcile. Minor drilling or trimming may be required in order to refit the bumper.
For a tow bar that will work with the Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit I recommend the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar part # RM-520 and for a tow bar that will work with the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit I recommend the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar part # BX7380.
In order to complete your flat towing setup you will also need a set of safety cables unless you go with the Alpha tow bar which has them included, flat-tow wiring harness, supplemental braking system, and possible high-low adapter. If you would like for me to recommend these parts for you please let me know and I would be happy to do so.
