5th Wheel Adapter for OEM Prep Packages on a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with a 6-1/2 Foot Bed

Question:

I have a 2017 Silverado 2500HD with 6 1/2foot bed and 5th wheel prep package. I would like the model #s of the adaptor to allow me to use my non-sliding Resse hitch that currently uses a rail kit. Please provide model #s for: Curt, Demco, BandW, DrawTite, and Reese adaptors...thank you

In order to use a Reese 5th wheel hitch that mounts to above bed industry standard rails (ISR) on your 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with the factory rail kit, you will want to use the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Chevy/GMC OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package part # DM6194. This adapter works with all brands that use ISR above bed mounting rails.

Since you have a 6-1/2' bed you will want to use either a sliding hitch or Sidewinder kingpin. Since it sound like you already have a fixed 5th wheel hitch, I recommend taking a look at our Sidewinder selection if you don't already have one. In order to recommend the correct Sidewinder for you I would need to know the make and model of your current pin box. If the make/model is not known then you can use the attached article to measure the mounting hole which will in turn allow me to determine the correct Sidewinder for you.
