Question:
I am looking for a hitch for my 2008 Equinox LS AWD. I am specifically interested in the one CURT # 15931. I have read other posts on forums online which state that a factory BCM Flash may be needed. Is this true or will this hitch as well as your recommended wiring kit work with my vehicle? Thank you,

When installing trailer wiring harness # C56012 on a 2008 Chevy Equinox, you should not have to have the computer flashed to activate the harness. This is a popular harness and we have not heard of any issue or situation where the vehicle computer or any other component had to be reset by the dealer. I have included a link to the installation instructions and a link showing a typical installation.
We have several trailer hitches for your vehicle. I recommend going with a class III trailer hitch because it will afford you more options in terms of accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers. The most popular class III hitch is CURT trailer hitch # 13591. I have included a link to the installation instructions and a link to a video showing a typical installation.
To complete your towing set up, the recommended ball mount is # C45030 and you can use pin and clip # PC3. For a ball, use # 19260 (1-7/8 inch diameter), # 19247 (2 inch diameter), or # 63847 (2-5/16 inch diameter).
