Differences Between the SmarT-Slot and Replacement FatCat Mounting Kit for Yakima Ski Racks

I have an older version of the fatcat 6 not the EVO. How does this product compare to part# 8860085 and would you recommend one over the other? Does this part allow the use of the extension arm to accommodate oversize bindings?

Between these two parts, the SmarT-Slot, part # Y03098 and the Replacement Mount kit, part # 8860085, the primary difference is the height at which they sit. The FatCat 6 will operate normally. Both of these kits will allow you to channel mount the FatCat 6 on your aero style crossbars.

The Replacement Mount kit, part # 8860085 is likely the better choice if you have higher bindings as it sits taller than the SmarT-Slot kit, allowing you to clear the roof with the taller bindings.
