Mounting Ultra-Fab Solar-Powered Plumbing Vent on Exterior Wall
Updated 12/05/2017 | Published 12/04/2017 >
Question:
Would the functionality of the solar vent be compromised if mounted to an exterior side wall? Would the vent be more prone to leaking? I am hoping to use it to vent my composting toilet.

The Ultra-Fab Solar-Powered Plumbing Vent for Motor Homes - 7" Diameter x 3-3/4" Tall # UF53-945001 although designed for roof use can be used on the side wall. With proper caulking, you shouldn't have any leaking issues. The overlapping design will keep water from entering the system under normal weather conditions.
