The hitch I recommend for your 2016 Toyota Avalon is the Draw-Tite # 36540. This is a Class II hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver that is a bolt-on installation so you can avoid drilling. I like this hitch over the option from Curt because the Draw-Tite does not require the use of stabilizing straps for accessories like bike racks the way the Curt hitch does.
