Boat Tires are Wearing on the Inside

Question:

Thanks I have a Champion boat and trailer, 4 years ago the bearing went out and I replaced the axle. Tires lasted 6 months l called the company in Tennessee and took the boat and trailer. They replaced the axle. I still have inside wear. Question should I replaced the springs? They are rusty. Thanks

When you are getting uneven wear on your tires and the part that is wearing more is on the inside then that hints towards the axle being overloaded.

Axles have a natural arch in them that arches up so that when they are under a load they are horizontal and you get even wear on your tires. Overloading your axle would mean that it is arching towards the ground some and would cause that inside wear.

I recommend checking the weight capacity of your axle (can be found stamped in the middle of the axle) and comparing that to the weight of your trailer and boat.
