Why Are There Two Curt Trailer Hitches Made for a 2017 Jeep Compass

Is there a reason I would want to buy the Curt trailer hitch # C13363 over the Curt trailer hitch # C13081 for my 2017 Jeep Compass? I don’t see much of a difference and wondered what l was missing. Thanks

There were two generations of the Jeep Compass in 2017. An older body style and a newer one. The part # C13363 is for the newer style and the part # C13081 is for the older style.
Old Body Style models will have the letter D as the 11th character in the VIN. New Body Style models will have the letter T as the 11th character in the VIN.
