Question:

Is there a reason I would want to buy the Curt trailer hitch # C13363 over the Curt trailer hitch # C13081 for my 2017 Jeep Compass? I don’t see much of a difference and wondered what l was missing. Thanks

There were two generations of the Jeep Compass in 2017. An older body style and a newer one. The part # C13363 is for the newer style and the part # C13081 is for the older style.

Old Body Style models will have the letter D as the 11th character in the VIN. New Body Style models will have the letter T as the 11th character in the VIN.

my VIN 1C4PJLCB2HW502740. it appears to be a "W" How do I know what body style it is so i can order the correct part. Thank you, James

@James I would recommend Googling what the old body style and new body styles look like so you can compare them to what you have since your VIN unfortunately doesn't give us the info.
