Swivel Jack Replacement Recommendation for Shelby 5730 Jack

Question:

I need a replacement trailer jack for my Eagle Boat Trailer. The original is a Shelby 5730, 2,000 lb. Its a swivel side winder. The swivel in bolt mounted with a 2inch opening. Need to use factory welded mounting so I need a bolt style with 2inch opening. Can you help?

I believe the jack you are looking for a replacement for is a frame mounted, swivel jack, sidewind, that has a 2,000 lb capacity and a wheel caster.

We did have a customer come back and say that the Fulton jack part # FTJ120W0301 will attach just fine to the pipe mount on the trailer frame from a Shelby jack.

I have a 1999 Eagle Boat Trailer where the trailer jack no longer lifts. It is a frame welded Shelby model 5730, 2,000 lb. capacity. Upon investigating a replacement, it appears Shelby is no longer produced. Can you recommend a replacement? Also... is there a gear assembly replacement option? Not sure of the complexity in swapping out gear assembly, but I am mechanically inclined. Appreciate your thoughts.

You're right that Shelby is no longer in business. The Fulton # FTJ120W0301 mentioned above should work perfectly as a replacement, though. The gears themselves for the Shelby jack aren't available.

@ChrisR Thanks for the reply. The Fulton model you recommend is rated 1200lbs whereas existing Shelby is rated 2000lbs. Would this be an issue? Also, Shelby jack is welded to frame. I don't have a means to weld new jack so would prefer to mount Fulton onto existing retaining ring opening. Do you have specs to see if this is possible? Thanks for your help.

@EricD I apologize. I would definitely go with something that's equal to the existing 2K rating on your Shelby jack. Unfortunately we don't have a 2K (or higher) jack that will work with the current Shelby bracket that's welded to the trailer. You could simply cut off the bracket and go with something that clamps around the frame like the Fulton F2 # F1413200334.
