Question:

Installing Sumo springs on a 2017 Fleetwood Bounder 35K LX 22000 Lb with relatively decent mechanical skills but limited tools nothing that can torque 500 pounds for the wheels or jacks to lift the RV other than the jacks on it can an individual install this themselves ? Does the wheels have to be removed to install this on the front and or the rear ? Do you have a recommendation on who could install this ?

If you wanted to install SumoSprings on your 2017 Fleetwood Bounder built on a Ford F-53 that are designed for the higher GVWR chassis you could but you should note that it would probably give you a harsher ride quality than you'd want. For GVWR between 20k and 26k you'd want the part # SSR-187-54-1.

The kit for 20-22k like what you have would be the part # SSR-180-54-1 which would give you the support you want without sacrificing ride quality. I can see how it would be tempting to go with a set rated higher than you'd want since it would seem to just make your suspension stronger, but the downside is that the springs is too hard for the lighter weight RV and it causes a harsher ride quality.

What would be the recommend part number for front and rear?

For the front you'd then want the part # SSF-170-40-2 which would work well for the rear set I mentioned already.

I checked the install instructions for the SumoSprings (which are linked below) and they do recommend jacking the RV off the ground but do not mention taking the wheel off so part would not be an issue for you. If you found a local RV dealer that has a service department they'd be able to do the work pretty easily. I also attached install videos for you to check out as well.
