Question:

I have been looking at the BandW patriot slider complete kits for my 2005 dodge ram 3500 4x4 short bed. I have seen 2 patriot sliders showing for my truck, not sure which one will work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Both Patriot options that you are looking at are compatible with your 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 short bed. The only difference is the base rail kit that is included. One is the Semi-Custom 5th Wheel Installation Kit # BWRVR3202-00, and the other is the Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit # BWRVK2600.

I recommend going with the Custom option # BWRVK2600 since it will be a little easier to install. Once it is installed you can then use the sliding B&W Patriot # BWRVK3270 to tow your 5th wheel trailer.

If you don't already have a 7-Way mounted in your truck bed I recommend installing the Hopkins # HM42137 as well. This will make connecting and disconnecting your trailer much less of a hassle.
