Can I remove the hitch from a 1998 ram pickup and mount it to a 2000ram 1500 van?

The good news is that we do have some hitches that are compatible with your 2000 Dodge Van. The bad news is that you cannot use hitch # C15300 from a 1998 Dodge Ram Pickup on a 2000 Dodge Van because the hitches are not interchangeable. The mounting holes are in different locations and hitches are custom designed to fit the frame of specific vehicles. The frames of these 2 vehicles vary quite a bit.

I recommend the Draw-Tite Class III Hitch, # 75140. This hitch will work with either a Factory Step Bumper or the Standard Bumper. It is a simple bolt-on installation with no drilling or welding required. We also offer a custom Curt Wiring Harness for your van, # C55368.
