Question:
Need to strap a 3000lb roller to a trailer? What do you recommend? How many?

Expert Reply:
For your 3,000 lbs roller, I recommend using the Erickson Car Tie-Down Kit - Twisted Flat Hooks and Axle Strap w/ Ratchet # 08504-05, provided you have the necessary attachment points. This kit has a working load limit (WLL) of 3,300 lbs so it would be enough for your roller. This kit comes with an axle strap, but if you needed additional axle straps for tie-downs, you could use the Erickson Axle Strap with D-Rings # 88509.
If you do not have good tie-down points, another option would be the Erickson Ratchet Tie-Down Strap w/ Double J-Hooks and Floating Rings # EM58629, which also has a WLL of 3,300 lbs. The floating rings on this strap help will allow you to attach it to different points around your roller which may be more suitable.
I've included links to video reviews of these products for you.
