Wiring a U.S. 7 Pin to European 7 Pin
Published 09/29/2017 >
Question:
I need to know how to wire the 7 pin US trailer end I bought from you, to a 7 pin euro vehicle hub. Here it is, we build some European model chippers that we currently cant test. What Im trying to accomplish is to make an adapter from our 7 pin US testing unit, Wolf Technologies Light Check, to a 7 pin euro trailer we build. The testing unit is currently the vehicle out. Ive looked online and have become thoroughly confused as to which wires need to be split and which ones aren't used. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

U.S. 7 pins such as Pollak # PK11700 have different functionality than European style 7 pins, as the Euro style is essentially equivalent to our 4 way.
What you are going to need to do is match up the wiring from both connectors; I've added a pair of diagrams which is going to show you the functions of each connector. Following this should allow you to wire the pair of connectors together.
