This 17-1/2" x 6-3/4" steel wheel is made for serious weight handling. With a 6,005-lb capacity and a hub-piloted design that centers precisely on the hub, it delivers solid support for loaded trailers and steady tracking on the highway. Non-chamfered bolt holes help keep the wheel tight and true, so you get consistent performance under heavy hauls.
Long hauls and damp conditions are no problem thanks to the dual-layer finish. The e-coat primer seals the steel, while the black powder coat adds another tough barrier against rust and road grime. Even after miles of exposure to water or salt, the wheel keeps its clean look and strong surface protection.
Fitment confidence comes from exact specs. This wheel uses an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern, a 4.76" pilot diameter, and a +0.19" offset that positions it close to the trailer frame for proper stance and clearance. The wheel bolt size is 5/8"-18, matching common heavy-duty setups for straightforward installation.
Each wheel meets DOT specifications, giving you peace of mind that it’s built to perform safely at highway speeds and under full load. It’s solid steel construction with the right balance of strength, precision, and long-term reliability—all backed by a limited 2-year warranty.

1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Hub Piloted Solid Center steel wheel. Now this Hub Piloted steel wheel has a capacity of 6,005 pounds and it has a positive offset of 0.19 inches to ensure that it is positioned closer to your trailer frame. This is going to have excellent corrosion resistance with this black powder coat finish over an e-coat primer. And this is a Hub Piloted wheel, which means it will center on the hub of your axle and not on the lugs. The pilot hole diameter is 4.76 inches.
This does require the use of flange nuts for installation. We do sell them separately here at etrailer.com, and this does use a wheel lug size of 5/8 of an inch by 18 flange nut. Now this wheel does meet the Department of Transportation specifications, and giving you some overall measurements of this wheel. Taking a look at the diameter first, we are sitting right at 17 and a 1/2 inches. And then looking at the width, we're sitting right at 6 and 3/4 inches.
The bolt holes are non-chamfer. And speaking of bolt holes, our bolt pattern is 8-on-6 and a 1/2 inches. And in case you don't know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes, and then that second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which these bolt holes sit. So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an even number of bolt holes as we have here, you're simply going to measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today.
I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
