Does the Trailer Hitch Anti-Rattle Kit # F-315 Require a Preset Level of Torque
Published 10/06/2017 >
Question:
I was massively confused that it has a lock washer and his suggestion is hand tight. I cannot compress a lockwasher with my fingers. That wouldn't work. I would think that at least 50-70 pound feet would be needed and that loctite would be acceptable.

When installing the Trailer Hitch Anti-Rattle Kit # F-315 there isn't a required amount of torque you'd need to use.
You'd just need to get it hand tight which will remove the movement of the ball mount in the hitch. Loc-Tite would not really be needed either.
I cannot recommend removing any portion of the kit either.
