Question:
I have a 2013 Ram 1500 5.7L, it has 4 corner air suspension with auto leveling. I am looking into sway control with product RP66559, to tow my 6,250lb travel trailer. My question is will the air suspension effect the weight distribution hitch or the sway control? Thank you for your time.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control # RP66559 will not be effected by the air suspension in your 2013 Ram 1500. That air suspension levels the bed of your truck for more comfortable travel, but the weight distribution and sway control of this system will only increase the smoothness of that ride.
It is rated for a total tongue weight (loaded trailer tongue weight along with any cargo behind the rear axle of your truck) of between 500 and 1000 lbs. This system will work well for your travel trailer and will control trailer sway with the automotive grade friction material and the trunnion spring bars. This system will be a really nice addition to your combination to improve your driving and towing experience. I've attached some videos to assist.
You will need a hitch ball like # A-90 for a 2 inch diameter or # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch option.
