Can 50 Amp Surge Protector be Used with 30 Amp to 50 Amp Adapter
Updated 09/11/2017 | Published 09/09/2017 >
Question:
Would it be safe to use a 30amp to 50 amp adaptor with a surge protector unit? I have a surge protector which has the male 50 amp end a 50 amp female end and my ALiner trailer has a 30 amp male power cord. The 30-50 adaptor would be attached to the trailer power cord, then the surge protector, which would plug into the campgrounds power source. Thank you

If the power level was going to stay under 30 amps yes, you could use the part # A10-5030FHVP with a 50 amp surge protector. But you should note that the surge protector portion wouldn't be very effective since it's rated for up to 50 amps the part # A10-5030FHVP is for 30 amps.
