Question:
I purchased this kit for my 2004 Toyota 4runner 7 way harness tow package already installed the install went pretty easy but after I connected the 4 way trailer blade to the new harness, no lights? I know the trailer lights are working because I have connected it to my wifes van tow harness and all of the lights work. I have changed the fuses for both of the tow package portions within the fuse box. Im not sure what I need to do next? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,

The Hopkins Multi-Tow 7-Way Blade and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector # HM43374 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2004 Toyota 4Runner as long as it is equipped with the factory tow package. Since the trailer lights work fine when connected to your wife's vehicle, the issue certainly seems to be on the vehicle side of your 4Runner.
I recommend testing the wires just behind the connector with a circuit tester like # PTW2993. If you are receiving power at the wires, then there might be an issue with the connector itself. If you do not receive any power while performing the corresponding functions on the vehicle, then there could be an issue with the factory wiring. If this is the case, I recommend taking your 4Runner up to a local dealer to see if they can diagnose the wiring problem.
Also just check to make sure that the connection between the Hopkins Connector and vehicle OEM ports are secure. Sometimes these connections can be loose if not inserted all the way, which can lead to the issues you are having.
If you are still unable to resolve this, please let me know and I will be happy to look into this further.
