Brake Controller on 2011 Silverado Not Receiving Input From Brake Stoplight Switch

Question:

I have a new truck and hooked up power under the hood. I retrieved wires under dash. Hooked all wires except orange and seem to get no signal from brake pedal. manual acturation seems to work. Red stripe to black, white to white, light blue to red, dark blue to blue. Any ideas?

Take a look in the power distribution box under the hood. On the top or bottom of the lid, there should be a legend showing which fuse serves which purpose, and locate the CHMSL fuse.

This fuse is most likely blown, check it and replace if necessary.
